Jakarta,-
Pertama kalinya Jakarta menggelar World Human Right Award (WHRA) Films yang dihadiri sedikitnya 215 film dari seluruh dunia. WHRA diselenggarakan atas kerjasama Pusat Kebudayaan Rusia Jakarta, iHebat International Volunteers, Yayasan Peduli Anak Indonesia (PENA), World Film Council, dan dengan mendapat dukungan penuh Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) selaku media partner, sekaligus penyelenggara.
Disamping WHRA bekerja sama pula dengan beberapa festival internasional lain sebagai partner festival, yaitu World Documentary Awards (WDA), World Animation Awards (WAA), dan International Film and Photography Festival (IFPF), dalam perhelatan ini.
Dirut LPP RRI, Dra. Rosarita Niken Widiastuti,Msi, menegaskan RRI sangat mendukung festival ini karena memiliki tujuan yang sangat mulia, yaitu kepedulian dan penghormatan terhadap hak asasi manusia, mengingat pemenuhan hak asasi manusia masih harus diwujudkan bersama-sama.
Sementara Damien Dematra, founder dan director World Human Rights Award Films, menambahkan bahwa festival film internasional ini untuk menghargai jerih payah para sineas pejuang HAM dan kemanusiaan di seluruh dunia agar HAM ditegakkan sebagai salah satu unsur penting dari kemanusiaan itu sendiri.
